That mismatch explains why two passengers researching the same journey can find different official answers. The useful check is more precise than “Does Morocco accept mobile boarding passes?” Look up your departure airport, then check whether your own pass still requires document verification.
The six-airport list changes the country-wide answer
On the current Digital Boarding Pass page, Ryanair retains a general instruction to check in online and collect paper at the airport for departures from Morocco. It then adds an exception for the six airports above, where the app pass can now be used. This concerns the flight leaving Morocco; it does not describe the boarding procedure for a flight arriving there.
The separate “What if I’m flying from Morocco?” article gives the general paper-collection instruction without that exception list. It ties its advice to flights from 12 November 2025 onward. The two pages therefore differ on a practical point: whether every Moroccan departure needs paper.
Neither page establishes the date when the six-airport exception began. We can report what the pages say today, but cannot turn that into a rollout date or a claim that every flight at those airports follows an identical procedure. An airport outside the named list cannot be added by analogy.

Your boarding pass can still send you to the desk
Digital support at the airport answers how a boarding document can be presented. It does not resolve every passenger’s travel-document check. Ryanair’s restricted boarding pass explanation says some passengers must attend the check-in desk for checks connected with visas, ETA requirements or nationality-based travel rules.
A traveller departing Marrakech with a normal app pass and a traveller on the same flight with a restricted pass therefore have different next steps. The second should complete the requested check before security. The airport appearing in the six-name list does not remove that instruction.
If the app shows Status Pending, Ryanair says details or documents are still being verified. Its pending-status guidance directs passengers to desk assistance if the status has not changed by their arrival. A visible booking, check-in confirmation and a cleared boarding pass should not be treated as interchangeable evidence.
Ryanair also separately confirms that an app-requested document check does not carry an extra boarding-pass charge. That is distinct from the airport check-in fee for passengers who have not completed online check-in. Do not abandon the check-in process because one document scan fails: follow the app’s instructions and confirm the resulting status.
Keep the online deadline separate from the desk deadline
Ryanair’s check-in guidance says that, without a reserved seat, online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes two hours before it. The same guidance says Moroccan check-in desks close 60 minutes before scheduled departure. Reaching a desk before it closes does not retrospectively complete online check-in within its earlier window.
Where online document verification fails or is unavailable, Ryanair’s document-verification instructions tell affected passengers to arrive at least two hours before departure and take the required original documents for a manual check. In Morocco, also account for the earlier local desk closure. An airport queue can use up the time between arrival and the actual check.
A dead phone before security is another situation again: Ryanair provides an airport boarding pass free to a passenger who has already checked in online. That fallback does not mean a passenger can skip online check-in, or that a restricted document has been cleared.
Before leaving for the airport, open the actual booking and boarding document, confirm online check-in is complete, and read any desk instruction. If its message conflicts with the public six-airport list, ask Ryanair about the specific departure rather than choosing the more convenient page. If your flight is delayed, our explanation of flight-delay causes covers a separate issue; a delay notice should not be assumed to extend these check-in deadlines.
For a journey continuing into Europe, keep the airline check separate from ETIAS authorization rules and EES stay-day information. An airline-issued boarding pass is not a determination that every border-entry condition is met.
